These do exactly what they say they do,makes your Harley sound like a Harley. Did not have to tune the bike, you could tell it was compensating for the mufflers and after about 100 miles it was good. Every one with an M8 will love these because they have the classic rinehart rumble, sound great cruising and arent to loud, get loud when you rip down the road but not obnoixous. That being said next i did the V&H fuelpack 3,and arlen ness big sucker air filter kit that retained the stock 107 cover but replaced the baseplate and filter, got rid of that black plastic bottom and opens up to reveal that excllent air filter included with kit. That with the map for stock 2-1-2 duals with cross over standard baffle stock 107 with high flow filter. With this combo, its a night and day difference, the bike is getting fuel and air like it should, and the mufflers have more flow and are louder right at the harley sweetspot, you can cruise at low speed with a nice rumble, sound great when you want every one to hear you, ripping through the gears and the torque power band right there at about 1900 rpm is great, it is a noticeable difference that made me smile, specially since i still have to pay for the bike too. I just recently installed V&H dresser dual head pipes, loud now with Amazing rumble low to mid range and cruising down the highway at 70 sounds aweosme, however kind of ratty and obnoxious or untuned open sound ripping thorough the gears and the torque crurve takes a bit longer to come up,and i tried a few different maps on the FP3 to tune it , second one i tried was it,and if you know how you can fool with the map to fine tune it. Being a newer bike they have the generic section which i first used, but try different combos to see what will work best, thats the fun part, pull over and tune your bike from your phone. Hope this review helps in your quest for exhaust tone! Before i go with a different headpipe,i was thinking go back to stock,or ii was going to do a crossover style headpipe to get my torque curve back where i want it,im gonna do a redshift 468 cam over winter and see how it sounds after that. Long review, but i wanted to add something other than,"these pipes sound great".
